Experience

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my blog about spas and all the fun (and sometimes not so fun) experiences I've had in them.

I already said it on the first page, but I will repeat myself: this is like a diary to me. A public diary, in which I share my opinions, my perceptions and my craziest ideas.

My hobby is to go to spas and write about what my senses perceive, so feel free to imagine with me the smells, textures and most extravagant sensations. If you like to laugh (and even if you don't), I promise you will enjoy my stories.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, I have a somewhat acidic sense of humor, but it is not my intention to talk well or badly of anyone in particular. I just like to add a touch of humor to everything I do. So let's relax, enjoy and live the experience with me!

Today, Cynthia (my best friend) and I went to a new spa that we found on 1st Street with 28. But before we started, I have to confess that my pre-spa ritual is smoking to get into a more neutral and sincere state, haha! I know it's strange, but it's my style.

The package we found was a promotion of 600 pesos that included hydrotherapy, a 60 minute massage and exfoliation. It didn't sound too bad! We arrived at the Spa resort and I must say that the formality was at its maximum. It seemed like we were treated like the Queen of Monaco, so exaggerated! I like to be treated with a little more personality, but hey, everyone has their style.

Our guide, Rosario, was very friendly but that forced friendliness, took us to the shower area to change. The first shower had cold pressure jets, brrr! and I was looking forward to a hot bath. Then we went to the sauna, which was at a good temperature, but I would have lowered the intensity of the light. Then we continued with the steam, which had almost no steam. We asked Rosario to turn it up, but she said it was at maximum, what a scam! We didn't sweat at all. The final close was the large pool with different jets, which looked good, but the water was cold again. We went back to the sauna to not freeze, but at least it was the most comfortable and relaxing area.

Then we were taken to the cabin for our massage, and my therapist was called Maria. The cabin was very normal, nothing out of the ordinary. The bed felt a bit uncomfortable, and the towels and sheets smelled of storage. The massage wasn't too bad, but it definitely wasn't good. She used her elbow wrong and I didn't feel her connection. I don't know why, but at the end when a massage doesn't please me, I can't look the therapist in the eyes. Maybe she was just starting, so I don't want to give bad comments, but in general, I would give the spa a 7. It wasn't bad, but I don't know if I would go back.
